For observations placed on the map, the species, geographical position, date, and time of the observation are stored.

Users of Pollenn® are divided into two categories. The first category uses Pollenn® for free. They can record their observations either anonymously or by creating an account. When creating an account or completing the contact form, the data is registered and can be viewed by the administrator of the specific map. These data cannot be shared with third parties, but the administrator can contact the user to request further information or permission to make the observation visible to all users of the map. The administrator is responsible for the content of the observation that they make visible to all users. Observations related to mandatory reporting species are checked by the administrator and, if applicable, forwarded to the relevant authorities and published on the map.

The observations of a user with an account are their property and can only be published on the map with their consent. Observations from anonymous users may be published on the map at the discretion of the administrator.
